Larry Zerner

Biography

Larry Zerner is one of the foremost copyright and entertainment lawyers in Los Angeles. He has successfully represented individuals and corporations in disputes involving matters of copyright infringement, right of publicity, breach of contract, defamation, motion picture distribution, trademark, and business disputes. Larry also regularly drafts and negotiates contracts related to, among other things, motion picture and television rights, talent agreements, script options, and talent management contracts.

Larry began his career as a professional actor and his past experience gives Larry great insight into the problems of the artists. One of the things that Larry is most proud of is that he is one of the founding members of the California Society of Entertainment Lawyers, an organization dedicated to protecting the rights of artists.

Not only is Larry an avid video gamer, he is one of the few (if only) lawyers who are also a character in a video game (Shelly” in the Friday the 13th Game). Larry is also a regular speaker on issues important to artists and regularly speaks at San Diego Comic-Con, California Lawyers for the Arts, and The Great American Pitch Fest.
