Julia Skyhar earned her Bachelor’s degree from Emory University, her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego, and her LL.M. in Fashion Law from the Libera Università degli Studi Sociali “Guido Carli” in Rome, Italy. Ms. Skyhar’s practice focuses on intellectual property (trademark and copyright) and brand protection. Prior to joining Morrison Cooper, Ms. Skyhar worked as an associate attorney at a San Diego-based law firm focusing on intellectual property and business matters, including related litigation in both state and federal courts. While in law school, Ms. Skyhar was active both on and off-campus. She was president of the International Law Society for two years and Comment Editor for the San Diego International Law Journal. Additionally, she served as a judicial extern for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and worked as a law clerk at a prominent Los Angeles-based intellectual property firm. Julia is fluent in Italian, and enjoys playing the guitar, drawing, painting, and travelling.
