Ethan’s practice focuses on trademark, copyright, domain name, and marketplace protection and enforcement. He regularly litigates matters in federal courts and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Based in Washington state, Ethan served in the chambers of Washington state Supreme Court Justice Steven González, as President of the SCBA’s Intellectual Property Section, and on the Executive Committee of the WSBA’s Intellectual Property Section. Ethan currently serves as co-chair of the International Trademark Association’s YPC Annual Meeting subcommittee. Ethan loves to educate on the law and has worked as an adjunct professor at Gonzaga University School of Law while also consistently presenting on intellectual property at gaming conventions. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ethan worked with the state legislature and with the Institute for Public Policy and Economic Analysis, engaging in trend research and counseling. Ethan is an avid gamer and loves working with creatives who embrace the geekier side of the entertainment industry.
